A new publication, The Vegetation of Poole Harbour by Bryan Edwards, will be available from 1st April 2004.

The report contains details on the vegetation found around the harbour extracted from survey work performed by Bryan during the summer of 2003.

The report is priced at £25.00 (includes p + p).

King’s College London is starting work on a four year DEFRA funded project on the European eel Anguilla anguilla.

The objectives of the project are to model eel population dynamics, define biological reference points and to evaluate management strategies. The project involves extensive fieldwork in several UK catchments. The Piddle/Frome/Poole Harbour complex has been selected as a test catchment.
